DESCRIPTION:Free wellness resources\, mental health information\, and giveaways at the Downey Street Fair. Family-friendly community event open to all.\n\n\nJoin us for the Take Action Downey Wellness & Resource Fair\, a community-centered wellness experience taking place during the Downey Street Fair\, one of the city’s largest annual events featuring over 150 local vendors\, food booths\, and family-friendly activities. \nPresented through the Take Action Initiative\, this special wellness activation will provide free mental health resources\, wellness information\, and community services for attendees of all ages. \nVisitors can: \n• Connect with local wellness and community organizations\n• Access free mental health and wellness resources\n• Receive educational materials and giveaways\n• Enjoy family-friendly activities and community engagement\n• Attend live stage appearances featuring local leaders and public agencies \nWhile the street fair will feature local businesses and food vendors\, all Take Action wellness resources and activities are completely free to the public. \nThis is a family-friendly event open to all ages\, designed to bring neighbors together and increase awareness of mental health\, wellness\, and community support. \n📍 Location: Downey Street Fair – Brookshire Avenue\, Downey\, CA\n📅 Date: May 9\, 2026\n⏰ Time: 01:00 pM – 6:00 PM \nThe event will take place outdoors in an ADA-accessible public space. \n\n\nNondiscrimination Statement \nThis event is open to all members of the community. Participation is available regardless of race\, ethnicity\, gender identity\, sexual orientation\, disability status\, religion\, immigration status\, or socioeconomic background. \nAll community members are welcome. \n\n\nRambo House Community (RHC) is dedicated to entrepreneurship\, business readiness\, creative economy development\, and contract-ready education. RHC creates spaces where Downey and South LA’s entrepreneurs\, small business owners\, families\, and community leaders can access real opportunities\, meaningful mentorship\, and honest conversations — including those around mental health and well-being that the business world too often overlooks. \n\n\nFUNDING & COMPLIANCE DISCLOSURE: \nThis event is supported through the Take Action LA initiative\, funded by the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA) and the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) through Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Prevention and Early Intervention funding. Rambo House Community operates under Take Action LA funded programming.
